Busker's Symphony

A great idea, well executed.

David Whitney is one of the buskers. You will recognize him if you compare the photo below.

He didn't know I was taking this photo. (I asked him later.) Turns out, I didn't know we would still be in contact this many years later. David came to model at a couple of the iStock Mini'lypses. He was a good sport about it and showed a great ability to fit into a part. It helps that he is an actor, comedian and musician. If you fancy a laugh (adult humor), you can certainly check him out on YouTube.

"Strings" Trailer with Elle LaMont

Mentioned in the previous post, I have worked with Elle on several projects. Today she emailed a link to a trailer of an upcoming feature film in which she is starring. Enjoy!

Classic Hollywood Group, Williamson County Talk and Rainy Morning Shoot

Classic Hollywood Group

Elle LaMont, a friend and model I work with regularly, is also a teacher of models. This past school year, she took her class to New York for a fashion show competition. She involved a designer to assemble the wardrobe. After the competition, she asked me to photograph the students in character and wardrobe. Maris Malone Calderón did the make up and most of the hair.
After the Photo Walk, I was asked to speak at the Williamson County Art Guild. The theme was discussed and we settled on my Classic Hollywood series. To take the audience's attention off of me, I put together all the images I was proud of and put them into the following slide show. October 6th I stood up and gave the presentation. My notes were a good crutch, but I strayed pretty far from my original intended speech. Nevertheless, I had good feedback, so it must have been okay.

More Group Goodness
This past Tuesday, Elle (green dress) and I organized another shoot. Her idea and my tear sheet book were in total agreement. So, we pulled together the usual suspects, er... I mean a great cast of models/actors and a new makeup artist. Rain, fog and overcast skies with low temperatures had been prominent during the weeks before. The good news is that we could utilize that kind of weather or even a crystal clear sky for this shoot. The morning did bring us light rain with occasional breaks and made for a great look. Umbrellas in hand, everyone was in great spirits and performed wonderfully. I love working with actors! In my opinion, every model should start with an acting base before getting in front of the camera.
